The size bed that will suit your individual needs will depend on a variety of factors. The most important when deciding sizes that you could have, are to look at the space you need (how many people will sleep in it) and the space that you have. You won't for example, be able to have a king size bed in a single room, unless you are happy to have that and no other furniture.
You need to look at your room and the functions that you will need from it. You also need to look at what you have. Are there walk in, or built in, wardrobes installed in your bedroom? If not, you will need stand alone wardrobes, which will take up some of the space. Do you also need a dressing table, bookshelf or anything else? If so, will you have adequate space if you get a large bed? Is a single or queen needed in order to give you floor space? If you are generally on your own, but would like a double bed from time to time, just for the extra luxury of the ability to entertain someone, then there are beds which come with a pull out mattress underneath in order to give you that extra bit of bed space.

If you do not need this extra bed space, then it can be a really good idea to get a divan bed, which has built in storage space under it. There will be drawers built in, in order for you to keep clothes or any odds and ends you own in. This can help a lot, and allow you to have that slightly bigger bed as you do not need as much other furniture. Of course, it is all down to personal preference.
If you have a large family, then you may wish to go for something such as a double king size, which will allow you all to sit in it together in the mornings or evenings, if you want to share a bed time story or allow the children to come and wake you in the morning. This can be perfect for an extra bit of luxury as well.
It is important when thinking about the size bed to fit you, that you also consider the type. We have already discussed the idea of built in drawers or a bed, but what about whether you want a fully built bed with a headboard and footboard attached as one, or one with a separate headboard. These will help you decide on the style of the room too. You could get an iron bedstead for an older themed room, metal tubing for a modern theme, or wood for classic longevity.
